Lacie's list of Chemicals to avoid

People are starting to realize that they need to check the ingredients in the things they consume. Did you ever think to also check on things that you put on your body? More and more random butt chemicals are being used because they are CHEAP and definitely boost the need for other products. Here are some things I've discovered that are quite alarming.

Sodium Laureth Sulfate/Sodium Lauryl Sulfate
This is a foaming agent. It makes the bubbles in your shampoo, body wash, anything that foams when you scrub. It is an inexpensive chemical with detrimental side affects. It can cause dry skin, liver toxicity, and acne. Oh let's see, this stuff we put in everything causes acne, now people have to buy yet another product to deal with these pimples and dry itchy skin. Win for all companies. CHECK YOUR CHILDS WASHES AND LOTIONS. J&J has it in the body wash. You do not want this on your child's skin. Or yours. It is in EVERYTHING.

DEA (Diethanolamine, cocamide, lauramide)
This causes CANCER! Yay, let's all die from our shampoo. It's only been tested on animals, but that's scary enough for me. Found in shampoos and makeup.

Flouride
Is not good for you. It's a leading ingredient in ROACH KILLER. That's gross. That is why it says not to swallow it. WHY tell me, would you put something in your mouth that is extremely harmful if swallowed?

MSG
Every wondered how many names there are for MSG?
Glutamic Acid (found abundantly in infant formula)
Glutamate
Monopotassium Glutamate
Magnesium Glutamate
Natrium Glutamate
Yeast Extract
Calcium Caseinate
Yeast food
Gelatin
Anything with "flavors" or "natural flavors"

And that whole your body can't tell corn syrup from cane sugar? Yeah, refined bleached white sugar. Your body treats BOTH as foreign unwelcome invaders. But the whole GMO thing is a completely different story.
To be continued. Gotta change a poopy diaper.
